World Travel Market (WTM) Africa Responsible Tourism Awards 2023: Mauritius wins two Gold Awards

The WTM Africa Responsible Tourism Awards 2023 was held in South Africa on the 4th April 2023 and the Mauritius Tourism Authority through its project Sustainable Island Mauritius (SIM), was awarded top honours in two categories namely:

• Best for Local Sourcing, Craft, and
• Food and Addressing Climate Change.

The Tourism Authority humbly welcomed the two gold distinctions as a recognition of all the efforts made under the SIM’s initiatives to position Mauritius as a green destination in line with the mandate of the Tourism Authority to promote a sustainable tourism development.
