FDI inflow for the period January to September 2022

The preliminary figures for Gross Foreign Direct Investment inflows, published by the Bank of Mauritius, shows an increase of 113% for the period January 2022 to September 2022 at Rs 18.231 billion compared to the same period in 2021 at Rs 8.539 billion.

The inflow for 2022 represents an all-time high. This positive achievement comes in the wake of the ongoing economic recovery after two years of battling the impact of the pandemic and other external shocks, proof of the resilience of our economy and confidence of investors in Mauritius.

This milestone is on par with the overall positive economic fundamentals achieved for the year 2022 and which is expected to carry over into 2023.
